Volunteer with AVDA

Client-Contact Opportunities
Families trapped in the cycle of family violence seek out AVDA's intervention at precisely those moments when the danger—and the emotional, mental and physical turmoil—are at their height. Given the stakes, AVDA's belief is that such circumstances require the intervention of trained professionals with extensive training in the dynamics of domestic abuse. Some ways in which you can assist AVDA in making a difference are:

Court Accompaniment—Need to have some availability on Mon.-Thurs. mornings, to accompany clients to family-court hearings and criminal trials. Note: Requires completion of training course in domestic violence and the law. Contact: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Special Events—Need volunteers to help with invitation addressing, registration and other tasks associated with annual AVDA events throughout the year.  Contact:   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
